Manuka and Jarrah are both active honeys, but their strength is measured differently, so the numbers cannot be compared with each other.
Manuka · MGO
MGO is the amount of methylglyoxal, in mg per kg, measured by a laboratory. It forms in Manuka honey as it matures. A higher number means a higher concentration.
Jarrah · TA
TA is Total Activity, a laboratory measure of overall antibacterial activity compared with a phenol standard. In Jarrah and Marri it includes peroxide activity and other natural compounds.
